THE ANNA ROMANO COSMETOLOGY TUITION SCHOLARSHIP
At 18 years old Anna Marie Romano had her first little boy, his name was Ben. Nichole and Christa, Anna’s two precious daughters, followed after.
Anna’s life was far from easy. Addiction and abuse left Anna to protect her children on her own, regardless of her own needs, and led her into the world of “Single Motherhood.” She always put her children first; their safety, health, security, and need for love and care were her top priorities.
Her children were her only concern from birth to the day of her passing.
Anna didn’t have a trade or a college degree, and didn’t come from money, but she ended up finding a passion in Cosmetology. She started as a Nail Technician, then advanced to be fully licensed in Cosmetology. Later in her life she continued to pursue her passion, and became a Licensed Esthetician. The school structure allowed her to start small, and gradually build a client base that she was able to advance in later years. She worked hard, and loved the work she did. Anna found instant gratification every day in pleasing her clients, while being able to provide for her children.
If anybody understood what it was like being a single Mother, it was Anna Marie. Every decision she made was focused on her children’s wellbeing. She lived for them. Not only did Anna mother these three children, but she was a mother to many more. Her caring and gracious heart was clearly recognizable by many, and never went unnoticed. She never complained, but rather had a positive and faithful outlook on her life. Anna Marie raised three wonderful children, impacted many lives, held her head high and contributed so much love and laughter to this world.
In remembrance of her beautiful soul, and her struggle as a single mother, A MOTHER’S HEART CORP. has created THE ANNA ROMANO COSMETOLOGY TUITION SCHOLARSHIP. Given the devotion to her children she would want nothing more but to ease the financial struggle of a Single Mother. As she would often say “Every little bit helps!”.
This Scholarship was given out annually from 2021 to 2026 in honor of the beautiful Anna Romano.
